Crystal Energy

Crystal Energy

This pic I call Crystal Energy is just something from an interesting idea I had.  It took a studio setup to make this happen.  Nikon D750 with a Nikon 50mm 1.8D lens. A single LED light for up lighting the crystal, and a small adjustable LED video light for some front lighting on the hands, and some black velvet to black out the back ground.  The only adjustments were made in the Lightroom program.

Thanks for the look

Very cool picture of the crystal. I like the contrast between the clean, white, light crystal and the dark dirt on the hands.

Love the sharp contrast in value.

So how long did it take to get hands so dirty, complete with under-the-fingernail enhancements? Or did the dirty hands come first?

Love this picture! Thank you for posting how you accomplish your great shots. I see pictures so many times and wonder how did they do that or how did they light the subject or what equipment did they use, etc. Not only do I get so see great pictures and creativity but also learn in the process.
