Photography Hike in Steamboat Springs – 12-3-17

Photography Hike In Steamboat Springs Colorado

I am in Steamboat Springs to go skiing.  But the snow conditions are not the best, and I decided to use this first day of good weather to take a photography hike around the area.  I headed out after breakfast and hiked along the river and then climbed through fields and along a ridge to get a great view of the surrounding area.  As you see below, I came across a variety of subjects to photograph.

Fly Fishing on the Yampa River

There were several fishermen wading the river in search of trout….. and having some success.

The fishermen shared the river with a bunch of Mallard ducks that were very cooperative for the camera.

Here are just a couple of a couple.

Landscape Views of the Area

So from the river I started climbing.  I was hoping to see some wildlife, but no such luck.  But no complaints.  The weather was mild and the views speak for themselves.

And some parting shots of other types of scenery on the hike.
